Posted by mischieviousjoseph in News.

The Boys and I are very sorry to inform all of our fans all over the world that The Mischievious Boys has broken up. All of our fans have definitely made the last five months a very unforgettable chapter in our lives. And most of all, the four of us will become Mischievious Brothers for life even if we are no longer making music videos. We have a formed a very strong bond among us four.

We want to share these three very important photos from our videos:

“Waiting for Tonight” was the very first Mischievious Boys music video.

“Hung Up” was the music video that made The Mischievious Boys famous around the world through Google Video and YouTube.com.

And finally, “One Word” was the last Mischievious Boys music video in which all four of us were in the video.

The Chicks are Back March 19, 2006

Posted by mischieviousedward in Uncategorized.

If you think The Dixie Chicks are “ready to make nice,” then you are wrong. After being branded as country music’s bad girls, the trio of Natalie, Emily, and Marti are back. In their upcoming studio album entitled Taking the Long Way and their first single Not Ready to Make Nice, they stand tall in their convictions and remains non-apologetic for their public criticism of President George Bush at their 2003 London Concert. In the conservative world of country music, some may say their actions are career suicide. Indeed, after their comments, many radio stations banned their music and some fans refused to buy their CDs. As a country music listener and a Dixie Chick fanatic, all I can say is “Yee Haw.” I love these girls not just for their great music, but also for having the courage to figth for what they believe in. Can’t wait ’till their album comes out…

Off topic: What if the Mischievious Boys do a country-inspired music video? It is set in a barn, complete with horses and other farm animals. We are dressed in traditional cowboys outfits like flannel shirts, tight wrangler jeans, belt buckle, and cowboy hats.

Since our first video, we have been receiving emails from our viewers from all over the world on a daily basis. It is nice to know that we are able to make you all laugh and smile by the simple, goofy, and funny things we do on video. Here are some of the emails I have received:

“I must tell you that the great love that the 4 of you share comes through in your videos, in your smiles, and in what each of you write here. Nothing will ever come between you if you don’t allow it. “Forgive everyone everything. Forgive yourself. Love is the only rational act.” I read those words once and they stay with me. Live them, Edward. Live them with Tommy, David, and Joseph, and you will always be happy.” – A fan from the United States

“I just wanted to let you know that you have made 4 new die-hard fans. I live in San Antonio, TX and work for the US Air Force. My coworkers and I all work at the hospital. To be quite honest with you, we sometimes get a lot of free time on our hands in the middle of the night. So, to get to the point, we have watched all of your videos and of course cracked up and danced to all of them right there in our little office. We think you all are so funny. – Amber from Texas

” To the Boys who made the last quarter of 2005 a “mischievious” blast, keep up the great work and continue having fun. Lord knows the world needs to lighten up once in a while, and you guys provide a shining, shimmering splendid example of having a gay ole’ time! Mwah!” – J from the Philippines.

” Hi there peeps! You really made me happy. I was just browsing because I’m so stressed in my work and I’m looking for Madonna’s Music Video ‘Hung up’ and I saw your video. I watched it and I can’t stop my self laughing. You guys are really great. Nice concept, nice video. I hope to see more of your videos soon and see you probably in the near future. You guys are very entertaining. It was a great stress reliever.” – G from the Philippines

“My boyfriend and I are big fans of yours in Manhattan. Found you shortly after you put out your Hung Up video. You give us a guaranteed big smile even on otherwise bad days. Thanks!” – Bob and Chuck from New York

“Great Music… You guys are bringing a lot of smiles, .and a an implied message about close ,Gay friendship! Thanks for the smiles and good feelings you convey with your fun…with your videos!…with your friendship!” – Kevin from Los Angeles

“You guys have great chemistry together. I am at home because I am sick. I am playing your videos and realized you guys had my favorite songs done in your style of video. I feel a hell of a lot better!” – A fan from Toronto

More to come next week…

Sac Bee Article About The Mischievious Boys March 14, 2006

Posted by mischieviousjoseph in News.

I was interviewed last week by Sam McManis from The Sacramento Bee (Sacramento’s daily newspaper). He wrote an article about the popularity of YouTube.com and the videos uploaded to YouTube.com by Sacramento residents. Click here to read the full article from The Sacramento Bee website. I can’t believe the writer spelled our group name and my last name wrong.

Rumor has it that Mariah Carey, who had the most successful album of 2005, wants to extend her musical comeback to the big screen. I must admit, I was one of the few people who watched her first attempt to be a Hollywood star in the sugary-sweet movie, Glitter. My first reacion, upon hearing of this news, was “please tell me it ain’t so.” So, I decided to search google under the keywords: Mariah Carey, New Movie. As it turned out, the rumor is true. Mariah has been cast in an independent film entitled, Tennessee, scheduled to begin shooting this spring in New Mexico and Tennessee. She will play “a waitress who journeys with her two brothers to find their estranged father, and get him to help save their younger brother, who has leukemia.” Further digging revealed that Mariah did another movie, Wise Girls – an indie film with a girl-power attitude. Apparently, she received rave reviews for her performance as a waitress. Do you see a pattern here? Is she being typecast as a waitress?

Anyways, before her new movie hits the theaters, make sure you watch the Mischievious Boy’s interpretation of her hit single, “We Belong Together.” Click here.

Flashback: “Tragedy” by Steps March 11, 2006

Posted by mischieviousjoseph in Videos.

Here is another flashback video starring my mom, Connie (aka The Mischievious Mom). We shot this back on December 30, 2001. She was not very good at lipsynching in her “I Will Always Love You” music video so she decided to just dance for this music video.

The song is “Tragedy” by Steps. Steps is my favorite group of all time. The song is a remake of the Bee Gees disco classic. This song was Steps’ first number one single in the UK.

Again, I choreographed some of her moves. I was behind the camera showing her the dance moves.

I digitally remastered this music video. I color corrected the video, added new titles, and converted the old 4:3 format to 16:9 widescreen format.
